The Guardians – ICU6

The Guardians

Double human review of alerts.

Validate, prioritize and clarify reports analyzed by AI to ensure reliable, actionable information.

Scope

  • Review and validate AI analyses (quality, tone, evidence).
  • Verify risks and the stated severity.
  • Anonymize and remove sensitive data.
  • Consolidate sources and screenshots.
  • Decide on publication or escalation.

Key responsibilities

  • Publish validated alerts to the public space.
  • Document decisions (log, validation criteria).
  • Coordinate sensitive cases with Watchers and Advocates.
  • Update internal quality-control guides.

The Guardians ensure editorial reliability and the protection of people.

The Pioneers – ICU6

The Pioneers

Design and evolve the tools.

Build the infrastructure, AI and products that enable fast collection, analysis and distribution of alerts.

Scope

  • Web apps and browser extensions.
  • Data pipelines, storage and security.
  • AI integration (prompts, safeguards, evaluation).
  • Product design and accessibility.
  • Observability, performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the platform (CI/CD, monitoring, incidents).
  • Improve the reporting and viewing experience.
  • Experiment with new models and AI protections.
  • Equip other teams (back office, workflows).

The Pioneers make fast and scalable responses possible.

The Watchers – ICU6

The Watchers

Monitoring, trends and early detection.

Track emerging threats, map scam campaigns and share weak signals useful for analysis.

Scope

  • Open-source monitoring (OSINT) on fraud and disinformation.
  • Track recurring themes (smishing, vishing, account takeovers).
  • Proactive reports to the Guardians.
  • Mapping by country / language / distribution channel.

Key responsibilities

  • Produce concise, sourced monitoring notes.
  • Assess the recurrence and scale of scam waves.
  • Flag high-impact threats first.
  • Maintain lists of relevant IOCs/indicators.

The Watchers help turn isolated alerts into understandable trends.

The Advocates (Legal) – ICU6

The Advocates (Legal)

Legal framework, rights and support.

Provide legal support and perform responsible escalation to platforms, authorities or hosts when needed.

Scope

  • Basic legal qualification of reported content.
  • Good practices for filing complaints and preserving evidence.
  • Notification templates for platforms and hosts.
  • Regulatory watch (GDPR, e-Evidence, DSA, etc.).

Key responsibilities

  • Provide ready-to-send message templates.
  • Guide people to the right public channels (by country).
  • Contribute to legal notices and internal compliance.
  • Train teams on legal limits and ethics.

The Advocates secure procedures and protect victims.

Education, awareness and resources.

Turn analyses into clear messages for the public and produce prevention resources.

Scope

  • Practical guides, checklists and comms kits.
  • Online workshops and field interventions.
  • Translations and multi-language adaptation.
  • Accessible and inclusive editorial design.

Key responsibilities

  • Write reusable content (text, visuals).
  • Improve the clarity of published “citizen alerts”.
  • Maintain an up-to-date resource library.
  • Relay prevention campaigns with partners.

The Guides make information understandable and shareable.
